In an unprecedented feat of excellence, teachers and administrators from Abeokuta North Local Government have emerged as shining stars at the 2025 World Teachers’ Day celebration, clinching major awards in both Ogun State and the national categories.
The following distinguished educators, all from Abeokuta North Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), emerged winners:
- James Olatunde Odubela – Best State Administrator (Public Primary School Category)
- Bolanle Alonge – 2nd Best State Administrator (Public Primary School Category)
- Tijani Rahamot Bolanle – 3rd Best State Teacher (Public Primary School Category)
- France Taiwo Solanke – Best State Teacher (Ogun State – Public Primary School Category)
- France Taiwo Solanke – Best Teacher in Nigeria (Public Primary School Category)
These outstanding achievements stand as a testament to the unwavering commitment of the Executive Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, Dr.Lanre Oyegbola Sodipo, whose visionary leadership and proactive investment in education have continued to yield remarkable results.
Under his administration, the Local Government has continued to provide a conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning — ensuring that teachers are motivated, schools are properly maintained, and pupils are inspired to achieve excellence.
Speaking on this remarkable achievement, Dr. Oyegbola Sodipo commended the awardees for their dedication, professionalism, and selfless service to the future of Abeokuta North and Ogun State at large.
