
Abeokuta North Local Government, Ogun State – Today, June 17, 2025, Hon. Dr. Lanre Oyegbola Sodipo, the Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, proudly commissioned a modern toilet facility at AUD Primary School, Kemta Ilawo Gbagura. This significant event marks the first time since the school’s establishment in 1948 that it has had access to proper toilet facilities.
The modern toilet was generously donated by the Tobade Progressive Club, Gbagura, reflecting a commitment to improving the learning environment for the students of AUD Primary School. The initiative aims not only to enhance hygiene and sanitation standards but also to provide a more conducive atmosphere for education.
During the commissioning ceremony, Chairman Sodipo expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Tobade Progressive Club for their invaluable contribution to the school community. He emphasized the importance of such projects in fostering the well-being of students and staff alike.
“It is indeed a remarkable day for AUD Primary School. This school has a rich history and is the alma mater of notable figures, including our beloved hero, Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola. The introduction of these toilet facilities marks a new chapter in the school’s history,” said Chairman Sodipo.
The establishment of this modern toilet facility is a vital step towards ensuring the health and dignity of the students, promoting better attendance rates, and enhancing overall educational outcomes.
