The Chairman Abeokuta North Local Government, Hon. (Dr.) Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo, has commended the outgoing Director General of Administration (DGSA), Mrs. Funmilayo Soberu—now appointed as the new Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) in Abeokuta South Local Government—and Mr. Faremi, former Clerk of the Legislative House, who has been deployed as the DGSA of Imeko-Afon Local Government.
The Chairman, ably represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Taiyelolu Egbeyemi, expressed heartfelt appreciation for their dedication, professionalism, and outstanding working relationship during their service in Abeokuta North. He noted that their contributions over the past year significantly strengthened administrative coordination and enhanced service delivery within the council.
In his remarks, the Vice Chairman praised the duo for their collaborative spirit, diligence, and unwavering commitment to duty, describing their tenure as impactful and exemplary. He further congratulated them on their new responsibilities and encouraged them to continue demonstrating excellence and integrity in their new offices.
The farewell event was well attended by the HOLGA of Abeokuta North, Hajia Munirat Kikelomo Ajayi; the Treasurer, Mrs. Siwoku; the Internal Auditor, Alhaja Zainab Faleye; as well as all Heads of Departments and other senior management staff who gathered to celebrate the outgoing officers.
On behalf of the government and people of Abeokuta North Local Government, Hon. Oyegbola-Sodipo extended his best wishes to Mrs. Soberu and Mr. Faremi, praying for greater success, guidance, and a continued harmonious working relationship in their new postings.
