Ayorinde Honored, Described As Lover Of The Youths

Following a series of developmental projects embarked upon by the Executive Chairman, of Abeokuta North Local Government, Prince Adebayo Ayorinde, the Executive and members of the Local Government’s National Youth Council of Nigeria, (NYCN) has bestowed an Award of Excellence on the Council boss.

Speaking at the epoch making event held at the Council Secretariat, Olumo Multipurpose Hall, in Akomoje, Abeokuta. The State Chairman of the Youth Council, Comrade AbdulJabar Ayelaagbe showered encomium on the Council Chairman for bringing into bear his wealth of experience since his assumption of office while, describing him as a worthy ambassador who has a passion for youth development and job creation over the years.

Comrade Ayelaagbe thanked the Council boss and described Abeokuta North Local Government as the first in Youths Empowerment Programmes. He also appreciated the sponsors, the Ministry of Youths and Community Department for their support so far.

The Council boss while, appreciating the organizer of the 2022 Abeokuta North Youth Award, and Empowerment Programme powered by the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Abeokuta North Branch commended the I can do attitude of the Youth Council in the Local Government area while wishing them more successes in their future endeavors.

Prince Ayorinde personally appreciated Comrade Emmanuel Ojo (NYCN) Coordinator in the Local Government for the great job done in putting together such an occasion, as well announced that the Local Government will soon lunch its own website. Ayorinde reiterated that the graduants should embrace peace, love, diligent in their work, and be hard working. He added that they should remain focused on their areas of specialization in order to have a better future.

Therefore, the Council boss also appreciated the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR for the developmental projects in the State such as the construction of roads, building of health centers and schools, empowerment programmes, Cargo Airline among many others. He then admonished the Youths to desist from spreading fake news because it brings about disunity.

Speaking earlier while welcoming the guests, the Coordinator (NYCN) Abeokuta North Local Government Branch, Comrade Emmanuel Ojo appreciated the indelible and uncounted support given to them by the Local Government Chairman, Prince Adebayo Ayorinde, the Director of Community and Youth officer.

Comrade Emmanuel also thanked the State Youth Chairman of the (NYCN) Comrade Abdul Jabaar Ayelaagbe and members of his cabinet likewise Oluseyi Bisiriyu Foundation, Tolani Sodipe Foundation, and EMMTAN AND ASSOCIATES NIG LTD among others so numerous to mention. He also appreciated the unflinching love and support of all the Youths within Abeokuta North jurisdiction as well as his ever-gallant team for enduring all the challenges to achieve this little success within the little time space.

He listed some of the achievements of the group as follows; Securing a befitting and well furnished NYCN office at the Council Secretariat, skills acquisition for about 100 Youths, distribution of relief packages to Youths and elders during the COVID-19 pandemic, facilitated online training and job opportunities for over 10,000 Youths in Ogun State through Master Card Foundation and TAFTA, empowerment of 30 Youths in different skills within the Local Government and today, another empowerment for 40 Youths will be concluded.

Part of the activities lined up was the presentation of Award of Excellence to Prince Adebayo Ayorinde, the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Comrade Olamide Lawal, S.A. to the Governor on Youths received an outstanding Youth Leadership Award while Hon. Sikiru Tunde Sanni went home with an outstanding Legislator of the year Award respectively.

Other events were the presentation of working tools to 14 empowered graduants, such as Sewing machines, Baking machine, Laptops, Clippers, and Shoe making machines among others.

Dignitaries at the event includes; Hon. Taiwo Oludotun, Commissioner for Forestry ably represented by Comrade Akolawole Soremi, Mr Kabiru Odusiji, Secretary to the Local Government, Abeokuta North Local Government, Hon. Adebari Adekunle, Deputy Leader and other Legislative members, Hon.Kabir Ayoola, Supervisor for Works, Mr Biodun Edun, Director General Service & Administration, Representatives of information and Community Departments
