Hon. Osoba Flags Off Provision of Cash Grant to Artisans, Women, Youth in His Federal Constituency

As part of the efforts to curb unemployment and idleness in his constituency, Hon. Olumide Babatunde Osoba, Member Federal House of Representatives, Abuja representing Abeokuta North, Odeda, and Obafemi Owode Local Governments has decided to put smiles on the faces of the people within his Constituency by flagging off provision of cash grant to artisans, women and youth respectively.

The event was held on the 21st of December 2023 at the Olumo Multi-Purpose Hall, Council’s Secretariat, Akomoje in collaboration with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and OMAK Micro Finance Bank Oshogbo.

Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, Prince Adebayo Ayorinde who also doubled as the Chief Host charged all the beneficiaries of the grant to spend the money wisely because it is meant for business and must be spent as such.

The Council boss added that over 800 people will benefit from the first batch of #100,000 each. He further stated that another programme has been scheduled to be held between March/April 2024 which will be an empowerment scheme that will be of benefit to everyone.

Honourable Seun Akinpelu who represented the facilitator of the grant Hon. Olumide Osoba, said the beneficiaries should see this chance as a great opportunity despite the cash scarcity rocking the Nation Presently. He reiterated that Hon.Olumide deserved more prayers to be able to do exceedingly well in the near future.

In her short address, the Executive Chairman, of Odeda Local Government, Hon. Folashade Adeyemo appreciated Hon. Olumide for his relentless effort in empowerment and in making life better for the Citizenry. She also advised them to spend the money judiciously”.

Furthermore, the APC, Chairman Abeokuta North, Alhaja Faidat Sarumi Akintunde, ably represented by Hon. Saba Olarenwaju Ganiu, Hon.Olude Emmanuel, Party Chairman from Obafemi Owode and Hon. M.O.Saka, Party Chairman, Odeda Federal Constituency all said that Hon.Olumide Osoba is a project Master planner in our generation and must be supported with prayers.

In addition, the (SMEDAN) representative Dr. Adekola Simon, advised the beneficiaries not to spend their money lavishly while stressing that an opportunity lost may never be regained.

Worthy of note at the event was the presentation of Certificates to the beneficiaries including Kareem Aliat, Mr.Oladipupo Oluyemi both from Abeokuta North, Temitope Adebeso, Olajuwon Oladimeji from Odeda Local Government and many others.

Present at the occasion were; the Leader Abeokuta North Legislative Council, Hon. Sanni Sikiru Tunde, Hon.Adebari Adekunle, Deputy Leader, Hon. Makanjuola Tunde Saliu, Majority Leader.

Others were; Hon.Kabir Ayoola, Supervisors for Works, Hon. Aliu Omosowon, Supervisors for Special Duties, APC Party Vice Chairman, Alhaji Saba Olarenwaju Ganiu, Hon.Tunde Tella, ably represented by Hon.Fakorede, Political Stalwart from the three Local Governments.
