In fulfillment of its commitment to job creation, economic empowerment, and the expansion of commercial activities, the administration of the Executive Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, Dr. Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo, is set to launch the OGOO Multipurpose Venture with an initial take-off capital of ₦10,000,000.
The OGOO Multipurpose Venture is conceived as a strategic platform to drive wealth creation, support entrepreneurship, and empower youths across the Local Government Area. This initiative forms part of the administration’s broader economic development agenda aimed at fostering productivity and self-reliance among residents.
As part of the structure put in place to ensure transparency, efficiency, and smooth operations, an Organogram has been developed for the venture, clearly outlining the hierarchy and workflow from the Board, to the General Manager, Operations, and Admin & Finance units. This framework is designed to enhance coordination, accountability, and long-term sustainability.
The Chairman has approved the appointment of Mr. Azeez Olamide Adeosun as the General Manager of the venture, in addition to his role as Senior Special Assistant to the Chairman. Also appointed as members of the Board of OGOO Multipurpose Venture, each to serve a two-year term (renewable once), are:
- Balogun Lam Dekoye – Oke Ona
- Bayewunmi Moruf Abolore – Gbagura
- Alhaja Fatimo Fadipe – Owu
- Kehinde Hassan Asimiyu – Oke Ogun
The initial focus areas of the venture include:
- Paint production
- Adire production
- Soap production
- Liquid detergent production
Other skill-based and small-scale manufacturing engagements
Looking ahead, the venture also plans to pioneer the establishment of mini solar-powered grids to deliver uninterrupted power supply to the modern shopping centers and markets currently being commissioned across Abeokuta North.
The launch of OGOO Multipurpose Venture reaffirms the administration’s dedication to building a stronger economic foundation and creating sustainable opportunities for the people of Abeokuta North Local Government.

We really appreciate the good work of our chairman Honourable Doctor Lanre oyegbola Shodipo, but let our Nupe people in word 10 benefit in this programme also cus we haven’t benefits in all the programme that they have been doing since all this days including the empowerment we don’t no what we did for them, and in terms of elections we always stand for you,in which our leaders too knows , but we haven’t see any outcome .
