Prince Adebayo Abdulsalam Ayorinde - honour by baales

In recognition of his invaluable, loyalty and outstanding performance towards the growth and progress of the Council area, the council of Baales in Abeokuta North Local Government, has presented a meritorious award of excellence to the Council boss, Prince Adebayo Abdulsalam Ayorinde alongside other notable citizens of Abeokuta North Local Government.

The presentation of the award formed part of the events of the end of the year of the Council of Baales in Abeokuta North Local Government which was held at Olumo multi-purpose hall, in the Council Secretariat, Akomoje, Ogun State, on Tuesday, 22nd December, 2023.

Prince Ayorinde in his goodwill message commended the Baales for their cooperation and immense support given to his administration right from his assumption of office till date.

The Council boss listed some projects embarked upon such as an ultra-modern shopping complex and motor park at Ita-Oshin garage, a Block of classrooms, a modern health facility, and an ultra-modern Market at Sabo-Oke Ogun among others.

He therefore, appreciated the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for his relentless efforts towards developmental projects and for allowing him to serve his people, while demanding more support from the Baales as well as promising more dividends of democracy to make life better for the Citizenry.

In his welcome address, the Chairman Abeokuta North Council of Baales, Chief Jelili Oyejide Toki, thanked God and appreciated everyone present, despite the current hardship and economic challenges.
He stated that the Journey dated back from 1996 during the administration of the then Military Administrator of Ogun State, Group Captain Sam Ewang Rtd, in his capacity gave them the approval for the establishing of the Council of Baales through the dynamic, then Chairman of their Council, Late, Alhaji Fatai Alao Bodunrin.

Chief Jelili, also expressed his gratitude to all Council Chairmen, former and current for their support, both morally and financially. He retriated that as certified Baales, they are operating under the prescribed authority of Obas in Abeokuta North Local Government.

Moreover, chief Jelili pledged their support to the current administration as well promised to work tirelessly, mostly in the areas of security and well-being of their people.

HRM. Oba Prof. Saka Adelola Matemilola FNSE. Olowu of Owu Kingdom, ably represented by High Chief Olusola Adeoye (OSUPORI OF OWU KINGDOM) in his fatherly charge said, he was glad to be amid Baales while admonishing them to embrace peace among themselves.
He further praised them for their mutual understanding and for working amoniously with the Local Government.

Meanwhile, Chief Olusola advised the Baales to always carry the Local Government along in most of their activities, mostly in the area of land purchase to acquire the appropriate documents and follow the right Chanel.

Some of the Awardees include: Prince Adebayo Abdulsalam Ayorinde, Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, Alhaja Faidat Sarumi Akintunde, CHAIRMAN of APC Abeokuta North Local Government, Prince Tunde Tella, member of Ogun State House of Assembly, ably represented by Hon. Ilesanmi Temitope, Engr. Oludotun Taiwo, Commissioner for Forestry Ogun State, ably represented by Chief Surajudeen Abeti, Hon.Ayoola Oluajo, Vice Chairman, Abeokuta North Local Government, Hon.Odusiji Kabir, Secretary to the Local Government.

Other awardees were: Mrs G.O.B.Bankole, Head of Local Government Administration, ably represented by Alhaja Nurat Sekoni, Director of Agric and Natural Resources, and Mrs.Adekunle Aderonke Omolara, Head of Community.

On the entourage of the Council boss are: Hon. Makanjuola Tunde Saliu, Majority Leader, Hon. Kabir Ayoola, Supervisors for Works.
Others are; Baale Falola Olatunji Julius(J.P). President Ogun State Council of Baale’s, Baales from various domains, Career staff, political Stalwart in Abeokuta North Local Government.
