The Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, Prince Adebayo Abdulsalam Ayorinde has charged the Committee members in charge of palliatives in the Council area to be good Ambassadors in discharging their duties during distribution to the masses.
Prince Ayorinde gave the charge during the flag-off of palliatives distribution to the vulnerables recently within the Council Area in Abeokuta. The Council boss further, expressed his appreciation to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, as well as both representatives of the Central Working Committee (CWC)from the State in their drive to bring comfort to the people in the grassroots.
He, therefore, emphasized that the first phase of the palliatives can not go around but is rather meant for those who are seriously in need.
Moreover, the Chairman reiterated and tasked the Committee members to make sure the palliatives cut across the 338 polling units within the Council Area. He added that the distribution exercise is based on various categories such as Artisans, Youths, Christian Association, League of Imams, Market women, Disabled, Security agents, Baales, and the likes.
Prince Ayorinde especially thanked the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon.Kabiru Odusiji for his relentless efforts and adequate preparation since the inauguration of the palliatives Committee.
Meanwhile, the Co-Chairman and representatives of the Central Working Committee (CWC) from the State, Princess Ogunremi stressed that the Governor had earlier instructed that the palliatives must be distributed to all quarters, most especially to the less privileged in order to bring smiles to the faces of the people.
Mrs. Oyelese Oyindamola who is also a representative of (CWC) stated that the palliatives distribution should be a thing of joy and must be distributed to the qualified while protocols should be duly observed by Working towards the list earlier submitted. She concluded that Abeokuta North Local Government should be a good example for others to emulate.
In the meantime, Prince Ayorinde with the help of the (CWC)representatives distributed the rice palliatives to everyone present at the event, as well distributed to leaders of various organizations present.
In the same vein, leaders of each organization further expressed their gratitude to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the Governor of Ogun, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, Council boss, Prince Adedayo Abdulsalam Ayorinde and the state (CWC) representatives and the entire management of Abeokuta North Local Government.
