………applauds President Tinubu, Governor Abiodun.

The Chairman Abeokuta North Local Government, Prince Adebayo Ayorinde has appreciated the efforts of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu,(GCFR), and Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, Executive Governor of Ogun State, for their sensitivity and divine wisdom in introducing a timely measure to cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal through the provision of palliatives to all citizens of Nigeria and ensuring the dividends of democracy during this turbulent time cut across people at the grassroots.

The Chairman made this recommendation during the inauguration of the Local Government Palliative Committee of the Council Area, held on Wednesday 13th September 2023, at the Local Government Legislative Chamber, Akomoje.

Ayorinde implored all members of the palliative Committee chosen based on integrity and credibility to distribute these palliative materials/ items evenly to all nooks and crannies of the Local Government Area, especially to the aged, vulnerable, and unemployed.

The Council boss, therefore, urged the Committee members to execute the task given to them without prejudice or bias against people regardless of their political affiliations, ethnicity, or religious beliefs. He equally thanked the people for their doggedness and understanding since the introduction of fuel subsidy removal in May 2023, while assuring this phase would surely pass and we shall have reasons to thank God.
