
In an effort to ensure speedy innovation and developmental projects in Abeokuta North Local Government Area; the Chairman, Abeokuta North Local Government Akomoje, Dr ‘Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo has laid foundation of 300 Units of Houses at Sabo Obasa in Abeokuta North Local Government, Ogun State Capital on Thursday 17th April, 2025
He said the Local Government would be constructing 300 Housing Units at Sabo Obasa which is part of efforts to provide affordable housing schemes to the people in the Local Government Area. Stated further that the initiative is a strategy of his administration to enhance growth and development in the Local Government Area.
“I thanked the Lord for the vision that have come through which is in consonance with the legacy of His Excellency, Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun CON; Ogun State Governor and that has motivated me in taking the bold initiative to translate this very location into a new town in the Local Government Area”, Oyegbola-Sodipo narrated.
The helmsman in the Local Government said his administration will prioritize provision of housing scheme capable of relieving the populace to overcome the stress of building houses for themselves.
That the low and medium cost Housing designs are to ensure that the structures have a mixed of two bedrooms and three bedrooms that will be semi detached and fully detached and by insighting into the current market realities, said the housing would be affordably structured for the populace in the LGA.
Present at the location were the Vice Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Taiyelolu Egbeyemi, The Leader of the Legislative Arm of the Local Government, Rt. Hon. Moruf Erubami, and other Legislators,The Secretary to the Local Local Government, Engr.Mutiat Agbaje, Head of the Local Government Administration , Mrs. Kikelomo Munirat Ajayi, the Supervisors, Special Advisers, Special Assistant, Directors of the Department/Head of the Department and Unit Head in the Local Government.
